We have a supervised nursery for children 6 - 36 months available from 9:50 to 11:30 during the services on Sunday mornings. Parents are welcome to stay in the nursery with babies 0-6 months. If you need a quiet place for your little one there is also an infant and mother's room available at the back of the Sanctuary.

Children 3-5 years old participate in "The Story: The Bible as One Continuing Story of God and His People - for Little Ones"A program designed specifically for their age group to help them understand the story of Scripture. The kids will be dismissed from the main service and return to the sanctuary at the end.

Youth & Young Adults:

Youth (Grade 7-12)

The Grow and Go Cycle

As a youth ministry we want to be able to encourage and challenge each other to grow in our relationships with Jesus and empower one another to, together, apply that growth within our Church family, community and beyond.  Our desire is to be consistently ‘Growing’ and ‘Going’.  We do this through meeting Friday nights for games, bible studies and service projects.  We also spend time together taking an annual youth trip.  At our core RWCC Youth is relationally driven, when you come to RWCC Youth you are known, we spend time with each other and we genuinely care about you and your relationship with God.

Young Adults (Anyone age 18-25ish)

River West Young Adults is an open group who seek to build relationships with each other and God. We do this by meeting weekly for social events and bible studies which we do every other week. Our goal is to be a safe place we can bring our friends and ask honest questions about God or just have fun no matter where we are in regards to our faith journey. All this happens on Wednesday nights starting at 7:30 at the church or a location which will be given in the schedule or weekly email. Contact the church office for more information about upcoming events. This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.

Small Groups:

Small Groups

Small Groups at River West are all about together growing closer to God.  We have a variety of Small Groups and each one is unique but what is key for all our groups is being a safe space where people are loved, supported and growing closer to God. Prayer Groups

Every follower of Jesus has the confidence and responsibility of nurturing a living relationship with God through two-way communication – speaking and listening to Him in prayer. In times of worship, through sermon messages and in discipleship classes, we encourage each person’s prayer life.

In addition, experienced, accountable intercessors are available to pray for specific needs:

v  The Prayer Chain - The Prayer Chain prays for specific emergencies. Submit a brief request to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. during office hours.

v  The Prayer Place - Trained, compassionate intercessors are available after each Sunday service (at the front of the sanctuary to the left of the stage) to come alongside anyone who wants to be prayed for in person, in the moment.

Here are some opportunities for corporate prayer:

v  Pre-service Prayer - Come and pray for the service in the Multipurpose Room Sundays at 9:30 am.

v  Worship and Prayer - Join us at 7:30 on the last Wednesday of every month to worship God together and pray for River West and for our surrounding community.

Women's Ministry

The women’s ministry plans events for the women of the church and community.  We meet about six times during the year for an evening of fellowship. Events in the past have included crafts, knitting for charity, movie nights, baking and learning about other cultures.  We have had baking nights for charity and for the church; as well as hosting bridal showers for the women of our church who are getting married.  The highlight of each year has come to be our Women’s Christmas Brunch, featuring a different theme, special entertainment, decorating, food and fellowship. Contact Gayle Epp for more information:  This email address is being protected from spambots. MOPS (Mother's of Preschoolers)

Meeting Tuesday morning during the school year. MOPS starts September 6th, 2016 going to the end of May 2017.

What is MOPS?

MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers…

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. We know it’s a little confusing so let’s just stick with “MOPS.”

We believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. Here at River West we have a community of young moms, in this neighborhood, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. We hope this is a place where women can grow to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find your identity by journeying alongside each other.

If you are interested please contact the church office for more information.
