Church for the littlest ones in our congregation.
We have a supervised nursery for children 6 - 36 months available from 9:50 to 11:30 during the services on Sunday mornings. Parents are welcome to stay in the nursery with babies 0-6 months. If you need a quiet place for your little one there is also an infant and mother's room available at the back of the Sanctuary.
Children 3-5 years old participate in "The Story: The Bible as One Continuing Story of God and His People - for Little Ones"A program designed specifically for their age group to help them understand the story of Scripture. The kids will be dismissed from the main service and return to the sanctuary at the end.
Youth & Young Adults:
Youth (Grade 7-12)
The Grow and Go Cycle
As a youth ministry we want to be able to encourage and challenge each other to grow in our relationships with Jesus and empower one another to, together, apply that growth within our Church family, community and beyond. Our desire is to be consistently ‘Growing’ and ‘Going’. We do this through meeting Friday nights for games, bible studies and service projects. We also spend time together taking an annual youth trip. At our core RWCC Youth is relationally driven, when you come to RWCC Youth you are known, we spend time with each other and we genuinely care about you and your relationship with God.
- To give youth the opportunity to meet Jesus and grow in their relationship with Him.
- To grow together as a healthy and safe youth community.
- To grow together with and as a connected part of the entire River West Church family.
- To expose the youth to healthy friendships/encounters with godly adults.
- To encourage healthy family connections.
- To go forward and serve others within the Church and beyond.
Young Adults (Anyone age 18-25ish)
Every follower of Jesus has the confidence and responsibility of nurturing a living relationship with God through two-way communication – speaking and listening to Him in prayer. In times of worship, through sermon messages and in discipleship classes, we encourage each person’s prayer life.
In addition, experienced, accountable intercessors are available to pray for specific needs:
v The Prayer Place - Trained, compassionate intercessors are available after each Sunday service (at the front of the sanctuary to the left of the stage) to come alongside anyone who wants to be prayed for in person, in the moment.
Here are some opportunities for corporate prayer:
v Pre-service Prayer - Come and pray for the service in the Multipurpose Room Sundays at 9:30 am.
Meeting Tuesday morning during the school year. MOPS starts beginning of September, going to the end of May.
What is MOPS?
MOPS is a grassroots movement that believes moms are world influencers…
MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers, and by preschoolers we mean kiddos from birth through kindergarten. We know it’s a little confusing so let’s just stick with “MOPS.”
We believe that incubating hearts and giving just-because-hugs can change the course of history. Here at River West we have a community of young moms, in this neighborhood, who meet together to laugh, cry and embrace the journey of motherhood. We hope this is a place where women can grow to be more honest, to feel more equipped and to find your identity by journeying alongside each other.
